The Unthinkable

Today’s headlines in Pittsburgh today ring in my ears.   An 18 year old charged in the slaying of his half brother. What would possess a young man to do the unthinkable?  Troy Hill of Penn Hills , stabbed his two twin brothers killing the one and seriouly injuring the other. He covered his half siblings with a blanket and left them to die.

While his one brother was taken to the hospital he told police that his mommy put something in

Troy’s food.
 My heart sank to my stomach when I heard  those distubing words. I hope this is not the result of a wicked step mother. All kinds of dreadful things are floating in my mind. Could this be some tragic, horrific event brought about by a sick family, or is this the result of a depressed, drug induced nightmare. God only know the truth right now. My thoughts go towards this family with prayers. No matter what the outcome,this is a tragedy. As I watched my eighteen year old leave for school this morning,  I could not help, but think back to the young man ,who is in the county jail waiting to learn his fate.
